A Brief AWCC History

The world AWCC, Activeworlds Community Center, was created to be a central hub for several of the more popular community organizations. These organizations, created to enhance users' Activeworlds experience, include: AWEC, CY Awards, AW Com Reg, AWHS, and AW Info Squares. The world opened on January 17th, 1999 and was donated by what was then called AW Com. Since then the world has undergone many changes. Recently AWCC was completely remodeled using the new terrain features that were released with the 3.3 browser. Earlier this month, January 2003, tourists were now allowed access to AWCC, in hopes that they can see some of the amazing things Activeworlds has to offer.
