After a proposal was presented to Circle Of Fire Inc. by the Co-Founder of the Gatekeepers program, Moria, the Activeworlds Gatekeepers Organization became an identity.
With the introduction of AWGate as the entry world on
December 21 1997, 32 citizens volunteered to become Gatekeepers.
