February 5th, 10pm, but pictures stay up all of February and March! 

A new exhibition called "Mixed Muscles" opens on Feb 5th at 10pm VRT, at Gallerie 2222, located in Pink Village. Even if Pink Village is a gay community, these pics do probably appeal to non-gay ladies too :)) These are 'real' AW guys, but like you never saw them before... Pictures will be on the walls until April 1st.

March 8, 1998 - 7pm

March 8th 1998 will mark the First Anniversary of our meeting in the TRANSCEND. It was there, just one year ago, where we made the announcement that a group of citizens had Incorporated in order to secure investment and finalize the purchase of the ActiveWorlds software. As Worlds Inc. faced drastic cutbacks and possible bankruptcy the future of AW had grown very dark. The entire AW staff had been laid off. Meanwhile, in just a few weeks, some of us citizens and builders had gathered together along with some of the now unemployed AW team from Worlds and had put together a plan allowing us to negotiate for the future of AlphaWorld and the AW universe. This purchase allowed us to not only keep AW up but also allowed us to expand from a few worlds to a vast Universe of WORLDS many running on your machines around the world. 

It has been a long year and a short year. There have been some setbacks and there have been great strides forward. We have all learned a great deal in the past year. And best of all our community has not only survived but has grown. Although COF takes great pride in creating and running some of the coolest and most fun software available, none of this would be possible without the people who are our friends and neighbors in AW. We would like to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, hints, suggestions, flames :), creativity and time that you have invested. Together we've not just had fun, but survived against all odds! We look forward to making our second year even better than the first. We hope that you have enjoyed this year even more than we have and will continue to share in this VR hallucination that we all enjoy so much. 

As we end this year and begin the next we would like to invite everyone to join with us in the TRANSCEND. It will be a time we can recap some of the advances we have made and groan at some of our mistakes. If anyone has suggestions or ideas as to how to best celebrate our first year please post em. 

Please come and give support and suggestions for our next year. The Meeting will start at 7:00 PM VRT and all are welcome (even tourists:). Please let all your friends know.

March 9, 1998 - 11pm 

The official SpringDew Web Design slot car runs her first race Monday, 9th March, at 11pm VRT. In honor of the event, there will be a party in Dataman's world Cyborg to cheer on driver Balfizar and to announce race results. Spring hopes to have a live cam of the races, but they're not sure yet if they can. Cyborg is a very historic world which Dataman never puts up anymore, so this is a historic event as well. Be there!

March 14, 1998 - 1am 

The official SpringDew Web Design slot car runs her SECOND race (what, already? <g>) the night of March 13th. This time there will be a party at Quaking Cloisters in AlphaWorld, starting an hour before the results are due in. Cheer on driver Balfizar and hope that the car places well! :)

March 14, 1998 - 10pm 

Phantom's huge funfair in Pink Village includes various attractions like carousels, water slides, game pavillongs, cafes and more. Everyone is welcome to the opening! (Free entrance!)

Grand Opening Of The New Dominion

March 21, 1998 - 10pm 

The Pink Village Council is hosting a meeting on March 21st at 10pm VRT where Facter will introduce his plans on creating a new world oriented around a gay friendly environment. Anyone interested in helping him planning this out or join creating the world are welcome to this meeting. You don't need to be gay as long as you care for the project.

March 26, 1998 - 3pm 

On March 26th at 1800 hours CET [3pm VRT - Dth] Patarock '98 will take place in the heart of La Défense - the largest city in the Pata world - featuring midi versions of 50 great pop and rock hits from the last 40 years. Coordinates pata 176S 78W.

March 29, 1998 - All day

I am having a birthday this Sunday. Lady Moonstar is going to have a party in her new castle in Cottage Grove at 19603N 5W for me. If you'd all like to come, I would be very honored. No time is specified. People hang out in Cottage Grove all day, and I'll be there as much as possible.

I was recently invited to see a special fireworks display in A'tuin. It was an unofficial first year party. I was a wonderful display! :-) The backdrop changes; lightning strikes, colored streaks, all with sound! :-))
